What is Ramaya jewellery made of?
Our jewellery is made from high quality brass with gold or silver plating. We use brass because it is strong, lightweight, and holds plating really well. Every piece goes through a finishing process to make sure it looks premium and lasts long with proper care.
Is this real gold or silver?
Ramaya is a fashion and statement jewellery brand. Our pieces are not made of pure gold or pure silver — they are brass with gold or silver plating. What you get is the look and feel of fine jewellery at a price that makes sense. We are always upfront about this because we believe our customers deserve honest answers.
Will the jewellery turn black or green after some time?
If you take care of it properly, no. Brass jewellery can oxidise over time if it is regularly exposed to water, sweat, or perfume. Keep it dry, store it properly, and it will stay looking good for a long time. We also offer re-polishing at our stores if a piece needs a refresh.
Is Ramaya jewellery safe for sensitive skin? Will it cause allergy?
Most of our customers wear our jewellery without any issues. However, since the base metal is brass, people with very sensitive skin or metal allergies may sometimes react to it — especially with prolonged wear. If you have a known metal sensitivity, we recommend trying a piece for a short time first before wearing it all day.
Will the colour or plating fade?
All plated jewellery fades over time — that is just the nature of fashion jewellery, and anyone who tells you otherwise is not being straight with you. How fast it fades depends on how you wear it and how you care for it. Avoid water, perfume, and sweat contact and your piece will stay beautiful much longer. We have customers who have worn Ramaya pieces for years with the right care.

The easiest way is to measure the inside diameter of a ring that already fits you and compare it with the chart below.

Traditional closed bangles must pass over your knuckles, so measure the widest part of your hand rather than your wrist.
Method 1: Using an Existing Bangle
Measure the inside diameter of a bangle that already fits comfortably.
Method 2: Hand Circumference Tuck Method
Bring your fingers together and tuck your thumb inward. Wrap a measuring tape around the widest part of your hand and note the circumference.
Method 3: Knuckle Width Method
Make a relaxed fist and measure across the knuckles.
